A rescue vest used after road accidents or in confined-space operations to stabilise the head, neck and spinal axis during vertical extraction. Its textile body is presented with plastic-coated straps, internal plastic supports and wooden stays.

Use during rescue or medical intervention does not, by itself, place the article in Chapter 90. The textile made-up construction as presented at import and the role of the straps and supporting elements within the whole are decisive.
