Read published BTBs through their technical dividing lines.

The product's role in the drilling string is to act directly on the material as a replaceable drilling tool. Its threaded connection and use within a drilling system did not displace that cutting or drilling character; the BTB result falls in heading 82.07.

Although presented with a PM motor, the published description treats the screw block as an air end designed for an industrial rotary-screw air compressor. The BTB result is based on its character as a compressor part of heading 84.14 rather than as a complete compressor.

In the published description, the component does not directly drill the material; it connects the drill pipe to the bit. This intermediate connection function gave it the character of a drilling-machine part and led to GTIP 8431.43.00.00.00.

The article is a folding frame designed to serve as a worktable when a top panel is placed on it. Its accordion mechanism and aluminium material did not, by themselves, lead to Chapter 76. Its objective functional character as metal furniture led to Turkish GTIP 9403.20.80.90.00.

The ability to connect more than one indoor unit does not, by itself, make an outdoor unit a variable-refrigerant-flow system. The physical piping layout, absence of a common main line, position of the electronic expansion valve and lack of advanced network communication were read together; the product was classified under Turkish GTIP 8415.90.00.90.09.

Although the steel ring is necessary for use, the heavier and visually dominant zinc figures give the composite article its essential character. It was therefore classified as another article of zinc under Turkish GTIP 7907.00.00.90.00.

The drying function in the same cabinet did not remove the appliance's character as a clothes-washing machine. A dry-linen washing capacity exceeding 10 kg drove the subheading selection, resulting in Turkish GTIP 8450.20.00.00.00.

The words toner, oil control and the vitamin or botanical claims did not by themselves determine heading 33.04. Surface-active properties, use for washing the skin and rinsing with water gave the product its objective character under heading 34.01.

The nutcracker appearance and association with the Christmas season did not by themselves establish heading 95.05. Its wooden body, tabletop presentation and objective character as a wooden ornamental article led to heading 44.20.

The LED assembly and decorative presentation did not change the article's objective character as a human-form doll. Movable limbs, body construction, textile clothing and overall appearance together led to Turkish GTIP 9503.00.21.00.00.

Use during rescue or medical intervention does not, by itself, place the article in Chapter 90. The textile made-up construction as presented at import and the role of the straps and supporting elements within the whole are decisive.

Dedicated use in a solar-tracker system does not automatically make the article electrical apparatus or a specially classified machine part. Its objective metal construction and fastening function lead to treatment as another article of iron or steel.

Design for use in a motor vehicle does not, by itself, determine heading 87.08. The condition as presented at import, rubber construction and absence of the associated fittings are decisive classification facts.

Installation inside a transmission does not automatically make the item a transmission part of heading 87.08. Its objective function is to provide electrical connections as a vehicle wiring set.

The product's essential character is not that of an ordinary animal collar. The controller, GPS virtual boundary and warning functions together form electrical apparatus with an individual function not specified elsewhere.
