Bosch washer-dryer: capacity and heading 8450

A Bosch WNC254A0TR household front-loading washer-dryer with a dry-linen washing capacity of 10.50 kg and drying capacity of 6 kg.

The BTB applies General Rules 1 and 6, the explanatory material for heading 84.50 and a technical report prepared by the Mechanical Engineering Department of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa.

The drying function in the same cabinet did not remove the appliance's character as a clothes-washing machine. A dry-linen washing capacity exceeding 10 kg drove the subheading selection, resulting in Turkish GTIP 8450.20.00.00.00.

Dryers only, washing capacities of 10 kg or less, commercial or industrial systems and separately presented units should not inherit this result. Capacity must be verified by reference to the washing load.
