Import standards conformity controls for industrial inputs
This control operates on a different line from general CE marking: listed products are checked against the applicable standard by the Turkish Standards Institution at import.
Communiqué 2026/1 covers mainly industrial inputs such as V-belts, selected iron and steel goods, flanges, pipe fittings, retaining rings, shock absorbers, gas taps, bearings, pulleys, plugs and sockets, rims and ammunition.
How is scope read?
GTIP, annex product description and the applicable standard must be read together. Goods within one GTIP may have different technical characteristics or applicable standards.
How does inspection work?
Applications are assessed through TAREKS and inspections are performed by TSE. Risk analysis may lead to document review, physical examination, sampling and laboratory testing.
Which evidence matters?
Standard, grade, dimensions, material, model/batch and test reports must be consistent with shipment documents. A supplier certificate may not always be sufficient by itself.
Pre-shipment decision
Match the purchase specification to the standard applied in Türkiye. Build possible sampling/testing time and cost into the plan and verify markings and batch traceability before loading.
Industrial-input checklist
- Confirm GTIP, product description and technical specification together.
- Identify the current referenced standard and mandatory characteristics.
- Compare purchase tolerances, material and performance with that standard.
- Establish batch/lot, model, manufacturer and test-report traceability.
- Plan for possible sampling, laboratory work and waiting time.
Core evidence to request from the foreign manufacturer
- Detailed technical data sheet and declared product standard
- Accredited test reports or conformity/quality certificates
- Material, dimensions, performance and grade records
- Product, packaging and label images
- Batch/model linkage between commercial documents and test evidence
