COMMUNIQUÉ 2026/9 / CE / TAREKS

Import controls for selected products required to bear the CE marking

CE marking is important evidence of conformity, but it does not by itself establish scope or guarantee a positive import-control result.

REVIEWED BYTechnical team and method

Communiqué 2026/9 regulates import-stage conformity controls for products covered by its GTIP/product descriptions and specified technical legislation. Applications run through TAREKS and inspections are performed by the Turkish Standards Institution.

01

How is scope determined?

GTIP is the starting point, but the annex description, actual technical characteristics and applicable legislation must be assessed together. Not every CE-marked product falls under this Communiqué.

02

Which rules are prominent?

Low Voltage, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Lifts, Pressure Equipment, Simple Pressure Vessels, Gas Appliances and efficiency requirements for new hot-water boilers are the principal areas.

03

What may be checked?

Risk analysis may lead to document review, marking and label checks, physical inspection or testing. The product, model and supporting evidence must identify the same technical item.

04

Pre-shipment decision

Do not rely on the CE mark alone. Complete the correct declaration, applicable-legislation mapping, model linkage, labels and Turkish instructions/safety information before loading.

BEFORE SHIPMENT

Importer checklist

  1. Match the 12-digit GTIP with the annex product description.
  2. Identify every applicable technical rule and standard.
  3. Verify that manufacturer, model and legislation in the EU Declaration of Conformity match the product.
  4. Check CE marking, nameplate, economic-operator data and serial/model traceability.
  5. Keep technical-file and test evidence ready for a TAREKS review.
